The story about Project Save Daisy

Hello my name is Stanley.

About two days ago my mother found a young cat hiding behind an old matress abandoned in a staircase in our building. The cat was laying near a corner purring not scared of my mother whom at the time was stareing at her. My mother then took her home, that morning she quickly woke me up and in her arms I saw a strange colored cat. A mixture of black and orange but mainly black. We gave her a quick bath and washed her right up!

She now was squeaky clean. By just looking at her I noticed she was neatly clean even before the bath we gave her. Me and my mother assumed she escaped from a home so later that evening I posted up a flyer in the lobby about the lost cat. That evening I had placed her in a cat cage to rest for abit till she became comfortable with her new enviroment. I felt bad when she meowed and decided to let her out. When Daisy was moving around I saw that most of her weight was shifted onto one paw instead of being evenly. When I got a closer look i figured that her paw was broken. I properly examined her paw " I'm no vet by the way " and gently touched her bone to the point where a portion of a bone shifted. I then realized, her bone was snapped and then confronted my mom about this.

After a day or two we decided to keep Daisy, we found out if we had sent her to the rescue shelter they were going to put her down. I felt like Daisy shouldn't be put to sleep. She was gentle and caring, at first she was afraid but then displayed nothing but affection to my mother and I.

Every moment I walk into my room i see Daisy and i feel compelled to do everything that i can to help her. Project Daisy, it is entirely dependant on donations given by animal lovers and the people. The goal is a Thousand Dollers to pay for Medical Expenses such as X-rays and Medication including Surgery and the initial examination. Please donate whatever you feel is necessary, In a few weeks i will organize a group effort to help me hit the streets of NYC and tell Daisy's story to strangers in hopes of a small contribution towards her surgery.
